i know at the 6 month check-up we were told 24-32 ounces a day. today i think he probably fell short of that, but didn't seem that interested in the bottle or the breast at the end of the evening. i kind of remember someone on this board saying 18 oz is the minimum for a 9-month-old, but dr. google is mostly saying that it should be more. thoughts?
Re: minimum breastmilk intake for 8 1/2 month old?
Hey! Don't stress about it. When you feed only at the breast, it is really hard to know how much your baby is getting (which is what I was able to do). I remember for sure that there were days when my babies fed less often, particularly when they went through the phase where they are very distracted and becoming more active.
If a couple of days go by and he seems to be eating less overall, it could be that he is coming down with something. But one day here or there...I wouldn't worry about it too much.
I hope you have an okay night tonight with the sleep!!
