Do I need 2 Boppy Pillows?

I fully intend to breastfeed so I don't think I will need 2 for propping for bottle feeding.  Can you use them to breastfeed twins?  I have 2- actually 3- bouncers for them to chill out  in.  What else are they used for?  I figured I would ask the experts.

TIA

  • Yes!  They are good for so much more than feeding.  Honestly, I used them with my girls all day for probably the first 4 months at least.  It's a nice little nest to put one baby while you're holding/feeding the other.  Also, they're great props for tummy time, and when they are older, they're awesome when they are learning to sit.  My girls still love to lay on them on the floor.

Agreed w/ the p.p. I still use 2 every day and not for feeding.

Yes!  I BF'd until they were 9 months, and then they were weaned, so I used them for bottles.  But I used them for when they were learning to support themselves sitting (just wrapped it around them in the sitting position so that if they toppled, they were safe).
  • We have 2 boppys and use them every day! We also have a double boppy that I use for tandem breastfeeding and I LOVE it!

  • Thank you!  I got 2 from my shower and my sis was like" why do you need 2?"  and I really had no answer, but now I do.  Thank you

  • Yes!! I would have been lost without 2 boppies. I use them for EVERYTHING! To tandem bottle feed, someplace for them to lay on the ground, tummy time, using them to help them sit unassisted. Boppies just aren't used for breastfeeding.

  • I guess I'm the odd ball here. Our LOs hated sitting in the boppy. I have one that I use when I need to BF them on my own. I set one baby in it beside me on the couch while I load the other one up. Besides that, they screamed whenever they were in it.

  • I still use them every day when they eat bottles in the morning.  Also, they are FANTASTIC for you to use as a pillow.  Every morning on maternity leave, I'd take a nap with them on the floor curled up in a boppy.  Just last night, I stacked them up and lounged while playing with babies on the floor.

  • You'll want to prop them up for all kinds of things.  You can't use bouncer seats until they can sit up on their own.

    Yes, you need two boppies.

As a side note, Emerson still uses her Boppy to lounge around on to watch TV.  They are a good investment.

Aside from all the other uses mentioned, I even used mine stacked on top of each other to help babies learn to sit.

And, I am re-using them now.  I keep one in living room and one in bedroom.

If you ever think someone else will feed them a bottle, you'll probably want 2 of something, either bouncy chairs or boppies.  I liked how portable the boppies were when setting up for 2.

  • Yes! They are good for so many things, like PP mentioned. We actually had 4 at one point because we were using them all the time and were running up and down the stairs for them. But I ended up giving one to my sister who just had a baby. Definitely worth having two.
  • Monkski, you're not the only odd ball. We barely used our boppies either. The babies really didn't like them. We're getting more use out of them now then when they were little. We have them wrapped around the legs on our side tables in our living room as make-shifit baby proofing to keep the LOs from hitting their heads on the legs.
