Peeing upside down

Yep, that's what I've been doing. I have a tear, and a bunch of really bad "grazes" (I guess they're like stretched skin/scrapes), and when I pee, it BURNS like nothing else. It almost brings me to tears. I finally found that if I literally bend over so far that I almost put my head on the ground, and squat over the toilet, I can almost avoid those areas. It must be some sight.

Anyone else with outside babies dealing with agony when peeing?

I don't have an outside baby yet, but one of my mom friends suggested peeing in the tub so you can squat and spread everything nice and wide and out of the way.

She said it's even better if you have a showerhead on a hose with an adjustable spray, and have a soft stream of water on your vag as you pee.

Awww, honey!  I'm sorry but this made me laugh.  I can only imagine there will be several of us joining you in a few short weeks.  I hope you start feeling relief soon!

I giggled at the mental image too - I'm sorry!!!!  I'm sure I'll get mine in a (hopefully) few days.  I hope things start to heal soon for you!!

I'm visually myself trying to do this.  And wondering how in the heck you're able to do this without making a mess that could compete with the messes my brothers made growing up!

I fell while rollerblading years ago in kind of a split and scratched up my...parts- dr said to pee in the tub and same thing about the showerhead-- it definitely helped!

Did they not give you one of those little squirt bottles to put water in to use while you pee??

Maybe you can call your dr on Monday. Years ago I got a severe kidney infection and I had to go to the ER bc I was peeing massive amts of blood and yes, it was super painful. They gave me some pills that pretty much numb the urethra so you pee w/o feeling like passing out. I cant remember the name,but they were RX.

I had a transurethral tear and it burned when i peed for maybe the first week. It did help to do exactly as you said, bend over far enough so it didn't burn. I can go to the bathroom now with no problems so that's been exciting, lol!

Man, I will be excited when it doesn't hurt to pee.

For those who mentioned peeing in the bath..I could, but I'm drinking so much water and peeing so often, I can't imagine taking the time to do that. I have thought about doing a sitz bath and peeing there each time. Bending over is working well enough, for now, but for some reason, just now, bending over hurt also! Ugh.

Ha, I could have written that! I bend almost in half and then no pain.

Me too. That does sound very inconvenient, but look at it this way, you can bend over now.
