I am BF some and pumping more due to mastitis and yeast infections from the antibiotics I was on. So how many feedings a day are you guys doing? Today so far he has only eaten 5 times since midnight although I am about to wake him up for a sixth. He eats 3 oz when I give him a bottle, unsure how much when I nurse. Just wondering if he is getting enough. He is wet each feeding and even some in between and always poopy. LOL
Re: BF mommas-- How many feedings per day?
I think you need to remember that every baby eats differently so numbers might not help you. I just went through my journal and am counting 16-20 nursing sessions a day. BUT, we don't use a pacifier (I am the pacifier) and he is a pretty lazy eater and likes to eat little bits at a time. He is usually on my boob every hour except at nights when it is every 1.5-2 hours. I honestly don't mind though.
I'd say that if his diapers are wet and he is pooping you should be fine.

same. he is gaining weight and has plenty of dirty diapers. somedays it is every 2 hours. yesterday, he was on the boob all day(literally all day) and then did a 5 hour stretch at night, fed and went back down for 3 hours. HOOORAH!
I don't find any real pattern or routine yet at this age.

IDK exactly- but a lot. I nurse on demand and would guess somewhere in the 12-16 times/day range She is doing great at night though- gives us a 4 hour block of sleep, wakes to eat then, sleeps another 2-3 hours, wakes to eat then will sleep another 4 hours.
This us also. DD doesn't want a pacifier, and we've tried numerous different kinds. And honestly, I prefer that. So I am the pacifier also. She's been on the boob anywhere from 16-30 times a day, depending on the amount of cluster feeding (luckily its finally slowing down!) She'll eat anywhere from 1-3 hours apart. And produces more wet and dirty diapers than I ever imagined. We have a new slogan in our house "When hunger/fussiness hits, grab a nipple."
As long as there's plenty of poo and pee, then you're on track.
