Anyone out there that wants to be working out but isn't?

I wish I could get on a consistent workout schedule but between my work and school schedule and DH's work schedule there just doesn't seem to be anytime to get to the gym! I walk the dog and try to get in some crunches and other weight-free exercises after I put DS down for the night but that's all as far as physical activity Tongue Tied I'm already 6lbs below my prepregnancy weight but honestly all of my flabby belly skin is making it hard to tell and I would like to lose about 20 more pounds and tighten up. Anyone else finding it more than difficult to find time/motivation to workout? Please tell me I'm not the only slacker!

Re: Anyone out there that wants to be working out but isn't?

  • your not the only slacker!! lol. I a 5 lbs under Pre-Pregnancy weight. but i carry it differently now so i would like to tighten up and look as slim as i did before! I want to start but its so hard to get out for a jog or I forget that I would like to do some crunches and get busy doing something else. Oh well I will start someday when I can continue it day to day. at least I am ok with the weight I am at but would like to take off 10-15 more pounds as well!

I have and always will hate working out...it's also 1000 degrees here so we can't even go walking. At least you ladies are below your pregnancy weight I still have about 3 to go and could have lost 15lbs before  I even got pregnant.

Edit: I do want to be working out but am making excuses.

You are NOT alone. DD#2 is 9wks now, and I havent been able to work out more then going for a walk one time. DD#1 makes it a little hard too, bc if Im active while shes awake shes a terror, and then we have a new puppy too which according to the standard is too young to go for a walk bc shes a puppy (her and DD#2 were born the same day). I want to go to the gym, but the gym has a policy that they wont watch kids in the daycare younger then 3 or 4 months old, and then when you want to go you have to schedule 48hrs in advance. Makes it hard to go, especially when you have 1 car & DBF works evenings (but leaves around noon, so he can get a workout in at work). Im feeling too flabby for 27.

  • <-- Slacker here!  Between working and trying to get things done at night (errands, cleaning, laundry) I don't know how to fit in working out!  Suppose I just need to make it a priority and schedule it in.....  :)

  • Me, me!! I need to lose almost 15 lbs to get back to my PP weight!  Ugh.

It was so much easier with baby # 1!  I can never get them both content or napping at the same time to work out.  Plus, I work from home, so when I do have a second, I feel I should be earning my paycheck and force myself to do work.

DD's witching hour is in the evening, so if DH tries to hold her,she screams. So even evenings are out.

I lost so much walking with DS, but now that he is over 2 yrs old, he wants to walk himself, so it doesn't really count as cardio when we stop to look at every other rock!

    Le sigh.

  • ME!!!  I haven't been cleared to workout more than short (15-20 minute walks) yet... I have a bathing suit to fit into when I'm in Florida in August... and I HATE working out - so I'm gonna have to bust my behind when I am cleared or just look pregnant still while there!!!  At least I won't know anyone!!!

  • Me :D I'm 5lbs above pp weight and want to work out but with working full time abs very little help from DH I can't seem to find the time. I am ordering a jumperoo to put him in and starting p90x when he turns 4 months :)

  • I want to...but I make excuses and well, forget.  I am about 8 lbs below pp weight, but like everyone else...the flabby stomach states differently!  I need to get in the groove of things though, I have my 10 year HS reunion coming up this fall.

  • Me too! We just moved (Ok we moved in Feb) and I still haven't found my scale so I have no idea what I weight. Not that I am putting any effort into finding the scale. I really want to work out and fit in my clothes again. I take LO on a walk 5-6 times a week but thats all I do. I tried a workout video but it is hard to find the time to use it, as I sit here on thebump and facebook while LO is already in bed for the night, I still cant find the time to workout lol.
  • Definitely not the only slacker!  I have been using the excuse that my MIL has been here for 6 (yes six) weeks and I will start when she leaves.  She leaves Tuesday so I better get on track!

O.M.G. go pour yourself a big drink and breakout some chocolate or something! That is beyond worthy of an excuse!!
