  • That's way cooler (pun intended) than how we're spending our days off.

We just moved into this house in September.  I flat our refused to buy another house in Texas without a pool.  DH tried to convince me a neighborhood pool was good enough and it is nice, but we swim a lot while DS is napping in the afternoon and we couldn't do that.  Plus the kids get in for 15-20 minutes then get out then get back in later and off and on.  DH said they went in 3 or 4 times on Sunday while I was at work.  No way he'd try taking all three of them to a public pool on his own, but easy enough in our backyard.  It's a fairly small pool, but perfect for us and a few friends.

  • I'll be over as soon as I can! So jealous of your pool.

My boys are dying to get in ours!

Its still cloudy and cold so they have to wait a little longer. Anytime they are inside the gate, their clothes start to come off and they beg for us to let them go in.  Its going to be a fun summer!

  • We've been swimming almost every day too.  I am worried, however, that we will get bored with it halfway through the summer since our swim season is so long in AZ.  I also worry about too much sun and skin cancer.  I had a friend recently pass away from melanoma at the age of 38 - truly heart-breaking.
  • So Fun!  My next door neighbor/best friend growing up had an indoor pool & I swear we lived in that thing in the summer (until I started leaving for the summer).  I thought about buying a house with one here (Denver) but it's a waste--you can only swim for 3mo & we'd have to move the burbs...so we have to settle for the public pool a few blocks away :o(
