Should I get some smaller clothes?

Zach is drowning in most of his newborn sized clothes and can't wear anything 0-3 yet. He really only has 3 onesies that fit him and a few white t-shirts. Is there really any point to buying him some clothes in a smaller size? Or would it just be a waste of money b/c he'll (hopefully) grow out of them pretty quickly?

Re: Should I get some smaller clothes?

  • I wouldn't.  I have 2 boxes packed full of clothes of DS's because he had so much stuff and outgrew it so quickly.  There were things mixed in there that he had only worn once or twice, either because it was lost in the drawer, or he just grew so fast once he hit the first couple of spurts.

Give him a couple of weeks, he'll start to fill out the newborn stuff at least.

Batman likes to watch cartoons on the weekends. Whatever.

  • I wouldn't bother.  Lila was 5 pounds and change when she came home from the hosptial and I didn't even have any newborn clothes.  I expected her to be bigger because of the GD and because my sister and I were huge (over 9 lb) babies.  I made due with the Gerber 0-3 onesies since they run small and before I knew it they didn't fit any more.
