AW: Solids and Sleep

I know the link is dubious, but since starting solids this week, DS has been sleeping for much longer stretches at night.  The last two nights he's had seconds of cereal and only woke up to feed twice (11:30 and 4:30). It could just be timing, I am sure he didn't need the 2 a.m. feeding, but I am so grateful.  Sleeping for 5 hours in a row is a really, really glorious thing.  Now he just needs to move the 4:30 feeding to 6:30 and I will be one incredibly happy camper.

One more thing, it makes me sad that DS has moved up he bedtime to 7/7:30.  I get to spend so little time with him in the evening.   I miss my smiling little man...

Re: AW: Solids and Sleep

  • Yay for sleep! It's amazing how much quality of life improves when you get more of it.

There was a definite link between DD sleeping longer and the amount of solids she ate during the day. So keep spooning it in as much as possible during the day. Wink

  • Hurray for sleep!  Which reminds me, I need to give you your sleep book back at some point.  I keep meaning to photocopy some of the pages at work - I will hopefully do that this week and get it back to you!!
Wife, Musician, Fed, WW-er, and Mom of three little kids - not necessarily in that order.
  • No rush, we won't even be considering ferberizing for another month.
