spotting: normal vs. abnormal

How do you know when your spotting is abnormal? At 4w4d, I had a gush of water red/slightly brown spotting. I know spotting is normal in the first tri, but I can't help freaking out!

Re: spotting: normal vs. abnormal

  • My doc said with #1 that if it turned red to call. I spotted a lot in my first tri with DS. I would probably call just to check!

I would call because of the gush as well as the red...brown is old blood so nothing to worry about.
