f/u Vomit but no other symptoms? EDITED - thoughts please!

What does this mean?

I posted the other day that DS "throws up" almost every morning, but I realiaze now that that's just toddler-version spit-up.  This is definitely different and new.

He didn't have breakfast yet this morning, fwiw, so I'm shocked and amazed by what just came up Ick!

Sorry for too much information. . .

ETA:  So, despite being covered in puke, DS remained his happy, laughing self!  So we got him cleaned up, changed, etc., I swithched cars with DH, and they headed back out. . . and it happened AGAIN!  At almost exactly the same point in the trip!  I mean, it was more watery this time, but presumably  because there was nothing in his stomach but some water I let him sip on.  Now we have 2 cars and 2 carseats to clean!

What IS this??  Sudden onset motion sickness?  He's never been bothered by travel before.  (He is still rear facing.)  A stomach bug with curious timing and no other symptoms?  What??!!

WWYD?

  • DS gets the toddler version of spit-up sometimes too.  Usually after he eats it comes up with a burp - but every once in a while there is a random one.

ETA:  Sorry - maybe I did not read your post correctly the first time.  I though you were saying that you realized that it was just toddler spitup.   I would think maybe some type of minor bug and being in the car made it worse?.... hope he feels better soon.

  • not sure..could he suddenly be car sick?
  • If he is sick, the motion of the car is probably not helping matters...Hmm, maybe make a new post and make a heading about car sickness?  I am pretty sure some Moms on here have kids that get motion sick.  They might know?

    How is he now?

    Thanks, I might try that.

He seems perfectly fine, now.  DH said he flipped out in the car a bit, but probably  because it scared him.

He started fussing for lunch (he goes and tries to get in to his high chair) so I gave him a small amount of applesauce and dry toast, and he ate it up and acted like he wanted more.  Now he's napping.  So strange!
