Land update=No update=Frustration!

I should know by now that NOTHING ever comes easy ? if at all ? for DH and I?.I mean seriously!
For those of you not in the know, DH and I have been trying to buy some land to build our dream home for just about 3 years now.? We finally found the perfect spot to build and of course, everything has been a mess ever since!
? First, we worked with a real estate agent who basically strung us along for a month and a half before we did some research and found out he was not the listing agent like he told us he was.? He told us things like ?Oh, I?m just finalizing the details with the owner and then it will be available for sale? and ?The owner is making some changes so please bear with me? it will be available by the end of the week.?? LIAR!
? Then we found out it was actually For Sale by Owner so we contacted the owner directly.? It took him a week to return our phone call.? Then when he FINALLY called us back and we tried to set up an appointment to walk the land with him he said he would need to call us back ?in a half hour? and it took him 6 HOURS to get back to us!? WTF!
Finally, we met the owner and walked the land and then called him to put in an official offer ? it?s been two weeks and he STILL has not returned our calls.? We?ve made several attempts to contact him at the number he gave us and NOTHING.
? I?m just so done ? I?m done with all the heartache and dream crushing that DH and I have to deal with.?? I?M DONE! ?

(((Hugs))) That sounds really frustrating.  It sucks when you have your heart set on something and nothing seems to go right.  I hope that everything falls into place and you get to start builing your house soon!

Real Estate agents are shifty sometimes. We tried to sell a rental we have and we had it listed for Sale by Owner and none of the agents wanted to bring their clients to see it. Sorry you had to deal with that and a lazy seller. Hopefully, he will get his rear in gear and sell you some land!  I'll keep my fingers crossed!

Could you DH show up at this guys home and let him know that the ph# you have for him mustn't be working... I would think after so many years of wanting to sell he'd be on top of it. I'm sorry you're dealing with an idiot. I hope it all works out... and SOON!
