So for the second time my cat has peed on the bed and I know it is time to let her go, but it is still hard and I am trying to build up the strength to call the vet in a few hours to set an appointment.
She is 13 years old and was diagnosed with hypothyroidism when she was ten. She was once a healthy 14-15 pounds and has now dwindled down to only 4 pounds. I saved her as a kitten and she has had a good long life. However, she has been sick for a while and with a baby I can't spend my days washing our bedding daily.
I wrote a blog post about her a while ago. You don't have to read it, but I will share it anyway. I just need a little strength and support. Thanks.

Re: NCDR: A sad day
I had to make the same decision about 4 months ago and it was the hardest things I've done. Jasmine was about the same age as yours ( a year older) and had the same weight change. Come to find out, she had a cancerous mass under her tongue that ruptured the night we had to take her into the emergency vet so we made the right decision.
I know how you feel - pets are part of the family and it hurts to have to let them go. We just have to remember that we're doing them a favor because their quality of life isn't what it used to be or the way that they deserve it to be. Lots of warm thoughts coming your way today!

I am so very sorry to hear this. It's hard to let go of any pet.
I will be thinking of you as you go through this hard time.
Hugs! Hugs! Hugs!
My dogs will always be my babies and I can not even imagine.
The Rainbow Bridge Poem
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
