Success after IF

How many oz's at 11 months?

At our 9 month appt my dr said the more he eats the less he will want his bottle. But here we are 5 months into table foods and this kid still lives for his bottle. He doesn't really ever ask for it but once he sees it, it's all over but the shoutin! He gets 4 6oz bottles a day, ans leaves 1-2oz from time to time.

I ask because my mom, DC, and a few friends seem to think he is still getting a lot of bottles for his age. We don't go back to the dr till his 12 month appt. For the record according to my scale he hasn't gained any pounds since April when he was 21lbs, so it's not like he is a chunk or anything.

Re: How many oz's at 11 months?

  • My Pedi said 18oz was a general minimum for 9-12 months. But it could be more without a problem. She never gave me a max. My DD takes 4 bottles per day (with three table food meals) and gets anywhere from 16-20oz total, usually.

Will still gets 5 bottles a day! He shows no signs of wanting to give those up. He doesn't finish them all, but still looks forward to them. :) And he eats 3 meals and 2-3 snacks per day PLUS water. And he's barely gained any weight in the last couple months!!

To answer your question, he generally has 20-24 oz per day.
