Mamamade AI2 wicking

Does anyone have issues with wicking with their mamamade AI2?  I really really want to love this diaper - the fit is awesome on my DS - but it seems to wick about 50% of the time (even with the new soaker).  Fluke or standard for her AI2s?

I literally just took mine off my LO and it was soaked around the leg holes.  I don't know if I prepped it wrong... or maybe not prepped enough.  It is my first AI2 - so I might be doing something wrong.

All of my WAHM AI2's wick around the leg except for my Doodles.  Go figure.  I think it's the nature of the design tho. I was hopeful with the new Mamamade soaker being generously sized but it's a no go for me too.  I thought it was just my DD's chicken legs again.

Guess my June AI2 will have to be a DD... if she stocks one I like.

today mine leaked around the legs, but in the past it's wicked right across the butt.  suuuuuucks.

I think that it has to do with the inner material.  does she use a fleecey material or a natural material?  my ai2's with fleece inner do not wick but those with bamboo or cotton do.   it might also have to do with the prepping.  i notice my newish esbaby wicking less and less - still does it but not as much as quickly

it's a polyester fleece inner.  admittedly it might be partially a prepping issue.  I think my old soaker might've started wicking less as time wore on and I haven't had the new soaker long.  Fingers crossed.

Wicking is definitely not standard for AI2s. I have one from her that I have had no issues with. Have you tried drying it to seal the PUL?

Mine doesn't wick.  Interestingly enough, my Ghastly Doodle wicks occasionally.  I think it's just the nature of the beast.
