Iron and Fiber

I am looking for food suggestions to suppliment my iron and fiber. I was taking an iron suppliment but it was making me severly constipated. I'm not a big red meat eater though I know that is a good source of iron. 

What types of foods are high in fiber without being high in carbs?

  • I am eating mini peppers right now.  They have 1g dietary fiber and 2% iron.  and only 25 calories, only 5 carbs.  They are a great snack.

  • well if you are taking a prenatal that has a lot of iron and fiber.  You might want to talk with your doc about how much you should be intaking because I heard that too much iron is not good. I am anemic which means that my blood is constantly low on iron and thats what makes me feel like crap. I try to eat a lot of iron rich foods but I mostly count on my prenatal to take care of most of it.
