Success after IF

Sitting on the sofa with shampoo in my hair

holding DD. . .

Guess this is what I get for, for the first time, attempting to shower while she's awake!

  • I know u probably don't think it is funny but i LOLed a little bit. Could you just put her down for a cople of minutes to rinse it out?

  • You are a better mother than me!!  I would have rinsed my hair first!  (If I knew she was ok of course)

  • ugh. that sucks!  I just started to shower with DS awake in the bouncy seat.  We have a glass door so he can see me.  I have had to let him wail once or twice while I rinsed shampoo or conditioner out.

Hopefully she'll do better for you the next time and that she'll calm down enough for you to rinse!

  • LOL!  I still shower when they're sleeping but I've heard them crying before while I've been in the shower.  I normally put it into high speed and run downstairs in my towel.

Another mean mom vote here! LOL going from one to two was by far the hardest transition of any of the three births.

  • I normally would have rinsed first, too- I dont mind a little fussing - but she started crying as I was lathering and by half way through rinsing she had totally come undone! Girl goes fast :). Will hop back in now that she's calm...
  • I used to bring the bouncer into the bathroom with me so she could "be with me". lol

Now I usually hop in when I put the little one in her crib for a nap (she sometimes doesn't nap but needs a little quiet time). At least I know she's safe, and I get a shower in.

  • You're so funny and a better mommy than I am.  I don't ever take a baby monitor in the bathroom with me when I'm showering.  It only takes me 10-15 minutes and if one of them starts crying they can wait.  It's the only alone time I get!
