If you have/had a 2.5 y/o and a newborn

Did you get a double stroller?  If so which one?  Do you use it a lot?  Was it worth it?  I know I have plenty of time to think about this but I'm just curious and might try to get an "end of year deal" on an 08 model of something.

I did get a used duo glider (I don't recommend it) and used it a lot when #2 was small...once he got old enough to sit up on his own, I switched out of the double and back to the single, dd was about 2 1/2 then maybe closer to 3...I don't use it much anymore (I don't have the duoglider anymore I have a borrowed sbs jogger) when I am going somewhere that I know both will want to ride at the same time... If I had it to do over again, I think I'd invest in the One Step Ahead Sit-n-stand deluxe...with the convertable stuff (infant seat compatible, rear seat(full))

I never used one- when L was tiny I used the Bjorn a lot and then by the time he was too heavy to carry Owen walked.

I'm hoping to have a 2.5 y/o and an infant   I already have a P&T with doubles seat and plan to use it for both.

At 2.5 y/o you don't want them running all over when you are going places.... you'll need a stroller, IMO.

We bit the bullet and bought a double.  DD will be 2.5 when dd #2 arrives.  We use her stroller alot and she still rides in it well.   I can't even imagine going into a store w/ a newborn in a stroller and DD walking and me trying to look at anything in the store.  Nightmare!

My DS will be a little over 2 when the new baby arrives.

 

We are getting the Graco Duo Glider.  My DS likes the stroller and rides in it well.  I want something that is compatable with our infant carrier and I like that both seats have a tray on them.

DD will be about 2 y 7 m when #2 is born and I am trying not to buy a double stroller. I figure #2 will be in the bjorn a lot while DD rides in the stroller and then I can get the board for the back of my stroller so she can stand on that if the little one is in the stroller. DD already doesn't do that well in the stroller, so it doesn't seem like a good investment. On the other hand, if it doesn't work out and it looks like we need one, I'll probably get the P&T.

I'm not getting one.  DS doesn't voluntarily ride in a stroller very often but even if he did I can't imagine putting a newborn in a stroller.  DS at least didn't like them until 6m+ and I'm anticipating DD to be equally fixated with being close to me.

 

eta:  if she's not and she would ride in a stroller without screaming then maybe I'll reconsider.

I have the P&T Vibe.  I have only been using it for a week, but I love it.  I am taking full advantage of the last bit of nice weather around here.
