Swim diaper question

Hey all, I havent posted in about 6weeks bc we're not doing cloth while my DD is in her body cast, but I'm preparing for the cast coming off in 6 weeks and am looking ahead to swim diapers. Has anyone gotten the swim diaper in the One Step Ahead catalog? Any opinions/reviews? Can anyone recommend their swim diaper for a 7-8 month old? Thanks!

We used an iPlay swim diaper that I got on sale at one of those daily deal sites last year.  It worked great, so I ordered another one (this time from Amazon) for DD1 this year.  DD2 will use last year's.

Not sure which one you're considering, but FWIW we prefer swim diapers with snaps so that you can more easily get it off if baby poops.  I bought and Imse Vimse one this year that snaps on one side, and I am loving it.

I have a pink wee wave that I got at a consignment store and a white one I got at Whole Foods.  They are both like underwear where you have to pull them on.  The are both nothing special but were inexpensive and I needed them quick and didn't want to order off the internet.  I love the idea of one that snaps on.  If you get the underwear type ones, fit is important.  My 11 month old is still in smalls because she is so little.  She is barely under the 16 lb weight limit but because of how she is built she still has room.1

We have a bummis (with velco) and a mother-ease (snaps). We decided to go with them because they come undone on both sides of the hip, so if LO actually poops in them, it will be less messy. She wears the swim diaper with a prefold in it and her suit to the pool. When we get there, I undo one of the sides of the dipe to pull out the prefold (with her suit still on). As for ease of use, I prefer the mother-ease one to the bummis, but she hasn't pooped in either one yet, so no advice yet on poop-containing abilities.
