First of all, its been a while and I just wanted to say hi to everyone.  My baby is already a month old today and I find myself totally swept up in him.  I have no time for anything (and I'm loving it!) so I really haven't been around here much lately.  I hope that you're all doing well mommas!  

So, here's the question..

Anyone started their periods yet?  I dunno if it has anything to do with my problem bf'ing (very low production) or what but I didn't expect to get my period EXACTLY 4 weeks after having the baby.  Is that normal?

Are you sure it is your period and not postpartum bleeding?  I had my baby on May 12th, and I am breastfeeding, so I am probably not much help, but I still have a little pp action going on that looks like a period.

I bleed for less than 2 weeks after having my c-section and then it totally cleared up and haven't bled at all since.  Today I have bright red blood. It doesn't look like pp bleeding so I doubt that it is...although, this is my first baby so I'm not positive.

does it have that period type smell? thats the only way i could tell

TMI   i bled for 3 weeks stopped for 3 days then started bleeding bright red blood then after a week stopped for a couple of days then started my period

I don't think that it has any odor at all and I don't think that my regular period has a smell either.  I hate feeling like I dont know my body anymore...lol

maybe its just me but i can tell the difference i think its the nurse in me... im a ftm too hopefully our bodies will be back to normal soon

My ob/gyn told me that the pp bleeding would taper but might get heavy again around 4 weeks cause the uterus usually contracts to shrink down more at this time.

I am a little over 5 wks PP, not BFing, and I still haven't had my period. I find it quite odd. I bled for 2 wks PP, and nothing since then. Not complaining in the least.... But I am starting to worry a little.

I wonder whether that also explains the not-the-same-as-a-period cramps I've been getting the last couple days.
