Weaning side effects question

I've been on the board only occasionally for a long while now because I'm so busy with finishing law school at night and being a SAHM the rest of the time .... but I hope you all don't mind if I ask a question...

DS had his last nursing session 5 days ago, and I am not feeling well. At 18 months, he was down to one session a day so I'm not dealing with much engorgement or anything, But I feel nauseated, dizzy, emotionally all over the place, and I am getting the occasional random let-down sensation (but no leaking). I didn't expect this many physical symptoms, since we've been slowly weaning over several months.

Did anyone else experience this? How long did it take you to feel normal again after weaning completely?

After 7 failed IUIs, IVF w/ ICSI worked!!

I am thankful every day for my miracle after infertility.

And thrilled to be pregnant again after FET!

    I didn't have many physical symptoms, but the emotional part was really tough for me. Thankfully the symptoms only lasted about three weeks. Good luck!

    Yes I felt exactly that way for several weeks after weaning Ana. Very dizzy and nauseated. The guilt over weaning was very hard. I think I was back in action after about a month.

    No advice, but hi!

    After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!

    My gut reaction is that something else is going on...like an illness. But I could be way off base, of course. When I weaned DS1, I had virtually no symptoms whatsoever. We dropped from 3x a day to none in about a 3 week span of time. He was 16.5 months.

    Thanks, everyone. 3 weeks or a month I can deal with. (Or a quick illness.) The guilt is definitely harder than I expected, too.
