Potty Training

DD refuses to pee in the morning. It takes her at least 2 hours after she wakes up before she will go potty. I frequently ask her if she has to go when she wakes up, and whether or not I ask her, she never uses the potty right away. Is this common, or is she purposely holding it in for some reason?
