any beco gemini users?

was reading a few reviews - does your LO fit in the newborn insert well? some commented that they didnt feel it was safe for their little ones - one commented that until baby was almost 12 pounds they felt too small

any thoughts? we were able to try an older beco and she for sure was too small - but you also couldnt adjust the insert either - it was a standard fit

 

edit - actually realizing the gemini doesnt have an insert? i cant see in person as we  live no where near somewhere that sells sadly!

    My LO is 10pds 22 inches and he fits in pretty well. Im much more comfortable with him in that instead of MH's B'jorn.

    I have the beco Gemini and LOVE it! You are correct, there is no insert for the Gemini. I started using it when LO was about 10lbs and I feel like he is safe and secure in it. I use it every day. LO loves being walked in it, puts his straight to sleep!

    Our LO is 12.2lbs. and fits the newborn insert fine... it's adjustable to baby's size, the insert is attached with velcro Smile

    Sorry, just checked and it's the Butterfly we bought...
