You know how everyone on here hates Mac names? (Mckenna, McKenzie, Makayla, etc.) This takes the worst part of those names and puts it by itself, making it even worse. I don't mean to sound harsh... just my opinion!

I don't like it for a girl name but I really like Mack as a nn for a boy. I liked the pp's suggestion of Cormac. We like Max, but H has a good friend named Max... so that is out.

"And can it be that in a world so full and busy, the loss of one weak creature makes a void in any heart, so wide and deep that nothing but the width and depth of vast eternity can fill it up." - Charles Dickens
Why does it have to be linked to a first name? Lots of nicknames have no connection to the given name, so pick whatever name you like and just call your kid Mack.
Ex--I know a teen who goes by Bucky. Always has. I don't even know what his given name is.

I like the name Mack, we are considering it if we have a boy. Not short for anything. Just Mack.
But, it could be short for Mackay, Cormac, Mackenzie, any name starting with Mc- or Mac-
I don't think any of those names are biblical though.
