Carpenter Ant Extermination; is it safe?

We have just found out that most of the trees in our yard are infested with Carpenter Ants.  We are having the trees removed and have been told we should hire an exterminator after the trees are removed to get rid of the ants and to spray the inside of the house as well.  Is it safe for me to be around that, i'm only 7 weeks pregnant.

Ive heard not to use pesticides while pregnant, though IDK if that includes others using them and you being around them. If I were you Id leave the house while they sprayed for the day then air out the house once your home to make sure any fumes are gone. No way around pesticides in the summer Im afraid. You could always ask the company if they have a more environmentally friendly pesticide that might be less harsh?

Ask your doctor to be sure though.

I would check with your OB, but I'd definitely be careful about what kind of pesticide they are putting down, there are definitely options available that are safer than others.
