I've known both males and females with the name, but I've known more males with it, so  I guess I think of it more as a boy name anyway (especially since my niece started having me watch Big Time Rush with her).

I don't think it's a bad name, and I think it's uncommon enough now that his peers aren't going to think it's a girly name.

It's my FIL's name, and will be this LO's middle name if it's a boy.

I mean, technically, "Meredith," "Stacy," and "Leslie" are boys names, too, but I think we can safely say they've  been taken over by the ladies. I think Kendall has "suffered" the same fate.

Dislike it for either sex, hate it for a boy.  The only Kendalls I know now are girls, with the exception of one blogger I know of with a Kendall boy.

This is a very popular last name in my area, so I find it difficult to imagine as a fn for either gender.

I like it (I know both men and women with the name).  While it was a boy's name, I agree that it is a name now that is primarily used for girls, like Meredith, etc.

I only know females with this name. I actually went to HS with 3 Kendalls. I find it masculine and hate it for a girl, but I don't think it will work for a boy either since it is now seen as a predominately female name.

It surprises me that so many people don't realize that 5 years ago, Kendall was a male name.  But it has, in fact, been taken over by girls...I don't think that's going to change.  I would look into your other choices!
