Feeling heartbeat in inner elbow

For the last few days I've been having weird twitches/tics in my inner elbow.  When I press down on it it's almost as though I can feel my heart pulsing in that area.

Has anyone detected their heartbeat in weird spots this pregnancy? Is this worth calling my doctor over?

I can detect my heartbeat pretty much everywhere in my body right now, with very little or no effort.  I monitor my bp at home because I have been on medication since before pregnancy so I want to know right away if it changes, but so far it's just the increase in blood volume that is making it super easy to detect.

I second the PP, your pulse is 'bounding' probably d/t increased blood volume.  You can check your blood pressure just to make sure it's not elevated

it could also be a nerve twitching. i get them in my palm and the skin right under my eyes sometimes. it's a symptom of low potassium, but not usually anything to worry about. with the nerve twitch, it's not a regular beat, like your pulse. it's more random typically.

Thanks-- I have been monitoring my blood pressure.  pre-preg I was always about 120/80.  Since being pregnant I'm running about 80-100/50-60- so much lower than usual.

That is probably your brachial artery...it's always been there you just didn't notice!!!
