D.C. Area photographers

Hi! I just signed up to the bump to ask this question based on a friend's recommendation. Do you guys have info or recommendations on D.C. area photographers and what is a normal price range? I'm looking to take family photos of our son and us and I'm new to the area. Hope it's OK to ask here. Thanks.

I also did one with a photographer who is starting out her business so, she was a LOT cheaper and after seeing both sets of pictures (this one was a surprise for my husband who had been complaining that I don't have any bump pictures), I like this new person better.  She doesn't have a website set up yet but if you are interested, you can PM and I can email you her info.

disclaimer, she is a very dear personal friend. but, she takes phenomenal pictures! we have paid for photo shoots for family pictures and a boudoir shoot. she also took pictures of my homebirth last fall.

her sitting fee is very reasonable (i think its 100 or 150) and you get a CD with all your photos.

I had pictures taken with DS with a photographer who posted on this board looking to build her portfolio. They turned out really nice despite the poor weather conditions and her prices are really reasonable. Here is her website.

i love these ladies.  i do not recall what their standard session fee is, but they run a different special every month which is usually pretty good, so it is always fun to keep an eye out on what deal they are going to offer.  june is 1/2 off family sessions!
