Stalling at bedtime

This has happened twice in the last week.  I am wondering if we are starting a bad habit.  Ava doesn't want to go bed and then when I get her in there she is crying.  I let her cry it out for 5 minutes and then go back in.  She said "I want Cheerios" the first night and the next time she said "I want noodles".  Both nights she didn't eat a very good dinner so I felt guilty not let her get up and eat.  Both times she ate everything I gave her.  I am wondering if she is really hungry or if she is just trying to stall.  I don't want this to become a habit.  Last night about 30 minutes before bedtime I offered her a banana and she ate the whole thing and then went to bed.  Has anyone experienced this?  Should I let her eat or not?  TIA!

Re: Stalling at bedtime

  • I've been told it gets worse. :o/ Its especially hard when you start potty training because you don't know when they are telling the truth.
