~Did you chart/use monitor to conceive???~

Did anyone else chart/use a fertility monitor to conceive? I'm wondering/hoping/praying that this will mean no overdue baby since I read this week that something like 70% of women who think they were "overdue" actually miscalculated their ovulation date.

Any 2nd time mommies or ladies with outside babies find this fact to be true?

  • I'm not a second time mom, but I did chart and my dr. and u/s have always confirmed my ovulation date and I have always measured right on track.  I still think it's possible to go overdue, but your EDD will be more accurate than not if you were charting.

  • I charted, and my due date is spot on with my ovulation date that month (to the day). I hope that means I don't go much past my due date. I would think that some of the women who go significantly past their due date do so because their due date might be off, so they aren't as overdue as they seem.

This. Everything has matched up perfectly.

  • I charted for this one, but my O date was over a long weekend where we went away and I didn't temp.  So there is a 4 day window - my temps were lower before we went away, higher when we came back.  That puts my EDD at anytime 7/1-7/4 but according to my growth u/s, they are telling me 6/29, so that is how I have been calculating everything.  I will not be surprised if I have a July baby.

I used the Maybe Baby microscope to see when I was ovulation and marked the day we DTD on a calender.

  • Yay for all of us! I like knowing that all that "work" to chart pays off by knowing more about your body and your baby's development. I charted and used my CBEFM and so I'm 99% sure of when I ovulated. That said, I'm trying not to get my hopes too high for an early baby or too worried about a late-comer. Here's to some "on time" babies!!

  • I didn't chart, but the month I conceived I was on Clomid and using OPK's, so I know for sure when I ovulated. My due date based on my u/s was 3 days later, than that one, so all the way through I've kind of mentally had both 6/19 and 6/22 as due dates in my mind.

  • We did IVF so I know the exact hour of conception.  I'm due today and no signs of labor whatsoever.  I am definitely going to be overdue.

  • I am not a second time mommy, but I charted to conceive.  I know the exact day that I ovulated, so I thought my EDD would be June 7.  However, at my 8 week ultrasound they said the EDD was June 3.  So, I've been hoping for June 3 but expecting June 7.

  • I charted and have a due date of 6/9.  Docs office has 6/10, so for me it's not a big difference.  Doctor wants to induce me between 39 and 40 weeks anyway, so I don't think she'll be coming on either of her due dates.

  • I charted.  But I ovulated within two days of the "normal 14 days" and my office doesn't change it for 2 days (I think 3 is the cutoff).  I haven't had my baby yet, but I'm hoping that she'll come on her own within the allotted time :)

I didn't chart a thing. We made the decision to have a baby, I got off my BC, and BAM. Preggo. I had one period so I don't know exactly when I ovulated, but I'm certain of the first day of my last (only!) period!

Ugh! That sucks! After going through the IVF, I bet you just want this baby here already! Stick out tongue Here's hoping you'll go VERY soon.

My period was very regular and I used OPKs to determine ovulation. I'm due tomorrow...with no delivery/labor in sight.

  • I know the exact date I conceived and will most likely sail past my due date. No engagement or dilation. Although things can change quickly, my doctor does not seem to hopeful that it will.

  • I charted. I'll be a FTM. I calculated my EDD to be 6/23. I had two u/s at the Drs office, and both of the u/s indicated a due date of 6/25. We'll see what happens! I'm still planning on going late, just to prepare myself.

Exactly this, but replace the dates with June 22nd and June 26th.

I charted and used OPKs for several months before my BFP; my cycles were like clockwork.  We didn't use anything the month we conceived but I feel positive about the exact day I ovulated (based on prior months' tracking) and every u/s we've had has confirmed this to the day (not that they need to be that close, I know, but is has been affirming).

  • My MW and I have been using my due date based off of charting, but at my NT and anatomy scan the baby measured a few days ahead. Not enough to change anything, but pretty consistent.

It's good to know when you ovulated and everything, but I think 40 weeks being an average also has to do with differences in fetal development, not just inaccuracy of using LMP to calculate the date.

  • I charted, used a CBEFM, 3 rounds of Clomid/monitoring, all of it, and didn't ovulate for 6 months. After our IF diagnosis, and plans to move forward with IVF in a few months, we gave up on OPK's and all of it. I got a mega-surprise BFP 3 1/2 weeks later. We really have no idea when I ovulated, and LO has always measured ahead. I still have my original due date, but we all figure she will come a little early. We will see!

  • Yup, charted but I don't know if this means that I'll be any less overdue than average. Maybe closer to my due date, but the baby will come when the baby is ready, is my hope at least!

Rainbow baby, EDD 7/8/14, missed miscarriage 12/5/13.
  • I charted, but my Dr. chose to go my LMP anyways. But, its only 2 days off. Most of my US's have shown him to be about a week ahead of my EDD though, so we will see.
