HELP! I am looking for new dining room chairs

I really don't want to buy a whole new set, but I also don't want to spend $85 per chair. Any ideas? We've looked at Ikea, World Market, Target & Walmart.

    Can you just recover them? Or is it te style of the chair that you dont like?

    My mom does it... makes it sound as simple as finding fabic, taking the old farbric off, cover the chair, pull the fabric tight and use a staple gun to secure it. Not sure if its really that easy, but thats what she does. Huh?
