Rubbing Face

LO is 7 weeks and there are lots of times when we are holding him that he rubs his face against us, almost like his nose itches. He does this even after he eats so I don't think it is a rooting thing. I have heard he is fighting sleep, is this true? Any other ideas?

My DD does it and is asleep like a minute later, so if she's fighting sleep, she's not doing a very good job! But yeah, I associate it being sleepy/trying to go to sleep/etc.

Mine just started doing this in the past few days... thanks for the insight that it's a sleep sign, I keep mistaking it for hunger!
