Nursing for 5 minutes total?

My LO's nursing sessions have gotten shorter and shorter. She doesn't even nurse for ten minutes now. (I do hear gulping for a few minutes after letdown) Sometimes it is 7-8 minutes with distraction breaks! is this normal? She is small for her age but is happy and looks healthy. But despite my efforts to get her to nurse more, she started waking up every 3-3.5 hours at night which has me exhausted! Any advice or info?

C has always nursed like this. 5-10 minutes total, and fairly often. It is not a problem as long as they are gaining on schedule. Im told its just efficiency.
