I'm SO excited!!!!!

I interviewed for a job last week and frankly, it was the most awkward interview I've ever had. We talked more about "times when I have brought or enhanced diversity in a situation" than my skills and qualifications. 

But I got the job!!! I'm going to basically be a reference librarian (I'm still working on my MLS) and I'll be supervising student workers and closing up the library. I can't even begin to tell you how thrilled I am to be going back to work (8-16 hours a week, but still! That's adult interaction!).

Now I get to go shop for adult clothes and shoes! Yay!!! The last time I wore  adult clothes/shoes I was pregnant!

Congrats! I have a friend who is a librarian and has two kids. She works one day a week and says it's perfect for adult interaction/time away from her kids (she's a children's librarian, so it's not exactly kid-free time). I hope you find it's a good balance for you too!
