BJCM Double. Do I need a Carseat Adapter at this point???

I have a 27 month old and a 4 month old.  Since the little one is getting strong enough to sit in a stroller....do I need a car seat adapter?  I don't want to waste a 100 bucks.

  • I don't think so. We never actually used one, bought it but returned it. I think if I was going to use it though, it would have been in the first 6 months.

  • I have one, and I used it a lot, but if you don't mind taking your LO out of his/her carseat then I'd say save the money!  DD2 stayed in her infant seat until 9 months, so I used the adapter for awhile.  My boys only stayed in their infant seat until 6 months, so if I was buying it for them I would have just skipped it.

  • I had one for my single and used it for the first 4 months. It was worth it though because it was winter and I wouldn't have wanted to take DS in and out of his carseat in the freezing cold.

We were planning to get one for our double. DD is 6 weeks old now and we've used the stroller a ton of times without the adapter. We realized it's not worth the expense at this point- especially because our children are in the 97th percentile so DD wont last in the infant seat long. The seat lays all the way flat and DD has been fine in it from the very, very beginning. I do roll a receiving blanket and place it around her head.
