Is anyone else a dork like me who gets a giddy high from scoring an unbelievable bargain?  Well I do and because I'm a dork, I'm sharing my story with you (because I just don't think it translated to K via email).

I've been shopping for a treadmill.  Well to back up, I need to run.  It's been forever since I've run and I miss it.  But with DD going to bed so early I'm trapped in the house and unable to get out to run.  So I've looked at used treadmills on craiglist and have been researching brands online.  I don't have much to spend but wanted to spend about $250 (thus why I was looking at used).  Well K and I had a long discussion and she was willing to match whatever I wanted to spend so we could get something nicer, and not used.  Great! I checked out the Memorial day sales, looked at coupons, and off to the stores I went.

Treadmill Score:

Original price $1200

Marked down to $800

On sale for $600

Got the store manager to honor an online only discount of 15% for military families (DW is a veteran and DoD employess are often eligible for military discounts as well).

Add in free delivery

And I left the store spending $550 for a kick ass treadmill!

2 years later, I am still giddy over the Graco Nautlus carseats that I found at Target. Originally were $150/each and I got them for $65/each! They weren't expired (or anywhere near it) and the box was sealed. Score.

And I was excited for our $2 Magnum ice cream bars (regular price $6!  who prices these things?)  Your treadmill deal is much sweeter!  I totally love a bargain, but we are in (perpetual, never ending) spending freeze on anything more than everyday necessities, so I will have to stick to groceries.    Good luck making regular use of your new purchase!
