Babies on the Brain

Good Morning

Hope everyone had a great weekend! We landscaped our front yard which was a lot of work but looks great and we are so proud of ourselves. Now back to work :(. At least it's a four day week and we have a BBQ to look forward to on Saturday.

Re: Good Morning

  • We did work around the house.  We (read I) took apart our giant farm house bed and moved it up stairs, then put it back together.  It's pretty sad that I'm much more handy than FIL and DH.  I did need them for their muscles though.

I went to a BBQ with LO on Sunday, and yesterday ILs took her to another one so DH and I could go buy some furniture.

So Amanda had a pretty great weeknd.   She also slept in her own bed for 3 whole minutes. Confused

  • Oh DC did you end up getting the house near your friends that you loved?

We unpacked, and unpacked...and unpacked.  My brand new washer appears to be leaking, and the technician can't come out until Thursday (I will run out of cloth diapers sometime tonight or tomorrow morning.  Fun!)  Jack has croup.  I spent the whole night sitting up trying to keep him propped up to minimize the coughing.  I'm tired :(

The good news is that I looooooove my new house and neighbors.

Boo for croup and leaky washers. May I ask what kind it is? We'll be looking for washer & dryer this fall and I'm taking notes on what brands my friends like.

    Yay for good neighbors though!

I had to work yesterday, but was off for the actual weekend. Didn't do much, but went mini golfing with DH and had a blast - even got a hole in one!

Wow sounds like a lot of work. If I really want to I can move heavy stuff but I'd rather have someone else do it. ;) My arms and legs are still so sore from yardwork.

Hope he gets better, croup sounds awful. Yay for new house and good neighbors!

  • Good morning!  The weekend was pretty quiet and uneventful... We did some light cleaning/straightening, and I'm still working on some of the laundry.  We went to my parents' last night for a Memorial Day cookout after a rather lazy day and that was pretty much it.

So I guess today I'm technically enjoying what would be my first day of maternity leave, just waiting for our LO to decide she's ready to make her debut...

Ugh we didn't do any cleaning this weekend so I'm trying to catch up on laundry and stuff now. There's so much! Your LO must be really comfy in there.

Yes, we did!  We are beyond thrilled.

    ETS, it's a Whirlpool.

Oh that's super exciting!  I totally stopped reading and missed the part about jack being sick.  I hope he feels better, poor guy.

I guess so, but you'd never know it from all the poking and stretching and kicking going on.  I keep telling her there is more room out here, but she's not listening.  I think she's going to be stubborn like her mama Smile

  • I took an extra day at the tail end of our vacation so I can unpack and clean the house up at my leisure.

Right now though it isn't so leisurely.  I had to leave the dining room because apparently my presence there while Jack was eating his yogurt was upsetting him.  He screamed and screamed as I tried to help him.  He hasn't quite mastered the spoon yet so I know I'll return to a mess, but he's learning.

*sigh*.  Toddlers.  It is a good thing they are so hilarious.

Sorry, but I giggled a little at this. Sounds exactly like some of the daycare kids. So stubborn but they have to figure out one way or the other.

  • morning!

We had a yummy bbq on Sunday. Omg, DH can cook. Yesterday we went to a festival where I was going to enter Kimo in a redhead contest. But omg..it was hot and there were so many people. They go in order by age group so you are there all day! All my boys would have been cranky. I did see his competition. She was so cute and actually had hair. lol
