I love the name Sawyer, but my last name could be another name for a male body part. Imagine: Sawyer Johnson..."Saw your johnson". I may be a little sensitive to what people will do with names since I teach school : )
My last name is McMicken (pronounced Mick-mick-en) and I used to love the name Nicholas. However, most Nicholas' are called Nick for short and I think Nick McMicken is a lot of "ick"s! Haha! I also liked the name Makenna for a girl, but Makenna McMicken is just not a great combination! Oh well!

In six weeks my last name will be Bassingthwaighte. So we're sticking with short names.
Anything more than 5 or 6 letters won't fit on those forms with the little squares, and my current last name with my first name barely fits on a scantron form.

Same boat as you. No Harrison, Richard, John, or any other name like that! Johnson is kind of a hard last name to match names with!

Wow! Not to be rude, but that is one long name! It's neat!
another johnson here, so i feel like most first names that start with "j" are out. also anything that ends with -son or has that ending sounds is out too.

I love the name Avery for a boy, but that is our last name! I always thought it would be easy to match a FN with Avery, but it's actually kind of hard... having a firsty-firsty name lol
It was funny trying out baby genie, a couple times Avery Avery came up!?

LOL I know. FI's first and middle name are a total of 8 letters. If you write out both of our full names, there is 1 letters worth of difference.

I really, really want a DD Rosemary or Rosalie. But my last name ends in -Rosa. Plus, I think Rosie and Josie is a bit much. H and I both really love the name too. Grr.
I tried to convince him that eventually she'd be married and it wouldn't be so cutesy sounding..he still said no.
Francesca Pearl is here! Josephine Hope is almost 3!
Yeah. Our last name is one syllable with a long "O" sound in it, kind of like stone. Short names with a long "O" sound in them sound funny. Ex: Joan, not that I would use it anyway. Jonah isn't as bad, but still somewhat rhymey. Too bad, I love it!
LN is Myrick. We had Jeremiah on our short list for awhile but had to nix it. The -miah My- was a little weird for me. My MIL was always throwing "new" names into our list (because she hated all of our names) so for awhile, we convinced her that we were going to name our LO Myron if it was a boy and Moriah if it was a girl.

My name is Lindsey, and growing up I had neighbors with the last name Hinzie. I'm so glad I never fell for their son
.
Also, I was a bit paranoid about falling for a guy who's last name was Kinsey, like that movie. Fortunately that never happened either

so yea, there's a ton of names we cant use... Beverly.
place names, nature names, color names... tons.
My last name is Hoover. There are SO many names we can't use. Maximus was a front runner early on, until DH said "Maximus Hoover- the biggest suck!"
Ruby and Lucy are favorites too, but they sound ridiculous with Hoover.
Also any of the "occupation" names ending in -er: Cooper, Carter, Parker, Hunter, etc.
