Two Under 2

So, I saw in a previous post that you had HG with your pregnancies. DH and I are going to be trying for another one but I keep putting it off because I am TERRIFIED of having HG again. I had a horrible case of it and mainly lived at the hospital for 7+ months. How was it having a child and having HG? Was the second or third time worse than the first or easier? I literally fear this day but really want the outcome!!!

Re: mammabear81

  • For my first I was on oral medication for my first, and it helped but I was still vomiting a lot.  It eventually calmed down after after 4 months to the point that I could at least eat.  I spent a lot of my pregnancy resting because I didn't have much energy to do anything.  The second and third pregnancies were the worst for me, I actually had pump (similar to an insulin pump) giving me anti nausea med's right into my thigh.  I had to change the site myself every two days (stick myself with a needle) but it was the only way to remain functional.  I hated it everyday, but I would do it again in a heartbeat!  This doesn't happen to everyone, and I'm sure you will think I'm crazy when I tell you after going to the chiropractor (many visits including while I was pregnant) I didn't have HG with my 4th or 5th pregnancies (just MS for a few weeks, and let me tell you I was so happy just to be normal).  But if you are open to alternative types of treatment I would absolutely recommend finding a good chiropractor.

  • Ive never had anyone tell me a chiropractor helped them! Do they believe that going helps or is it just something that worked for you.

  • Most people only think about a chiropractor to help with their back, and it's obvious why.  But what they don't realize is that all of the vertebrae in your back are attached to nerves that extend throughout your entire body, and adjusting them so they are properly aligned alleviates blockages and allows everything to flow properly.  I can't say that its a guarantee, but it has helped me with my migraines as well (which NO amount of medication would even touch).  You can be out of alignment and not feel any pain, I am currently down to going once every two weeks (unless I feel like something is out of place) and other than feeling like a whale at 36 weeks pregnant, I feel great.
