Huggie's Overnight's??

DS gets changed minutes before he goes to sleep for the night, but more and more he wakes up with wet pj's in the morning.

Has anyone tried overnight diapers? Is it worth the extra $$$?

Should I try putting him in size 4 regular diapers for the night instead of size 3?

TIA!

Re: Huggie's Overnight's??

  • My girls were waking in the middle of the night with wet PJs.  I started using Huggies Overnights.

They are worth the extra money for sure- my girls sleep 12 hours at night and have never woken up wet.  I get them in a size up.

  • I started putting DS in a size 4 just for overnight when we started having this problem.  He's maybe had 2 leaks since, and that was about 3 months ago.  We use Pampers Cruisers (with the Dry Max).  We also use Pampers overnights when we're visiting DH's parents, and we haven't had any leaks with them, either.

  • I went to Huggies overnights in a size up and no more wet jammies!

We CD during the day, but at night use Huggies Overnight in a size up.  I tried everything else I could find (both cloth and 'sposie options), and these were the only things that keep him dry in the morning.  Love them!

  • We've used pampers overnights since DS was 4 months and no leaks.

  • You could try going one size up.  We use Pampers Baby Dry and we don't have any problems with overnight leaks.  DS sleeps for about 13 hours at night.

  • We tried Huggies Overnights with DD and didn't think they were any better than her Pampers Cruisers she was wearing.  After several leaks in the Huggies Overnights we ended up just doing a size up in her regular diapers and it works like a charm!  Hope this helps!!

  • i've one up'ed target diapers and they work great overnight.  For us the huggies overnight worked but I didn't want to pay the price for them when target worked :)
  • I have never tried the overnights but the same thing started happening to DD so I just out her in the size up (right now she's in size 3 and sleeps in size 4) and it works for us, she has never woke up wet in the bigger size!

  • Totally worth it. DS wears Huggies Overnights, and DD wears Pampers Overnights. For some reason she soaks right through the Huggies, but not the Pampers, and vice versa for him. But they work wonders!

We took a baby class before DD was born and the nurse said Huggies are better for boys and pampers are better for girls. I guess that's true in your case :)

We use Kirkland diapers (costco brand) and love them. They aren't as soft as pampers, but we rarely have leaks, and when we do, it's clear that we put the diaper on crooked or something. They are also SO MUCH cheaper than pampers or huggies. A box of 190 is around $35

Worth it! We went up a size at night and bought the Extra Protection Pampers' brand. It has an extra layer of padding in the front and ALL the way up the back. He is sleeping through the night now, but if he wakes and has a bottle, he is soaked in the morning.

These are a life saver in our house. DS pees like a moose, and I was changing him and the bed every night at 4 months. We put him in overnights, and had one leak in 4 months! So worth it!

  • Puh-leeze - we've been doing overnight dipes since she was 4 months old and we realized she'd sleep way longer! lol. I never noticed a huge price difference, guess I don't pay that much attention.
