first yeast infection

I got my first yeast infection or so I think that's what it is. Since it is the long holiday weekend I called the Dr on Sat and gave her my symptoms. She told me it sounded like a YI but with out actually going into the office it is not 100% that that's what it is since I did not get tested. I was told to buy monistat 3 and only insert it half way in. Last night was my 2nd night taking it and I had this horrible dream that I started to bleed because of it. i don't think the Dr would tell me to use monistat 3 if there were bad side effects. I hope this itching goes away soon and I can get intimate with DH again.

Has anyone else had a YI during pregnancy? What did you do for it?

I did and was told to use Monistat 7.

HA! I was thinking of posting something similar. I just got my 2nd YI of my entire life. I just bought Monistat 3 to use for myself. I went to their website and confirmed that I could M3 (I don't want to have to keep up with that mess for a whole week). Don't forget to eat some yogurt and good luck!

I've heard that Monistat and similar yeast infection treatments are all safe during pregnancy. When I was TTC I got a YI - I thought maybe I was pregnant because I was in my 2ww so I called my Dr to be safe. They said all those treatments are fine. I think its more the treatments that you ingest that are not recommended (like diflucan)
