Is this normal after egg retrieval

so i am 4 days post egg retrieval and i am having frequent urination, getting up 2-3 times per night when i normally sleep through the night. is this normal???

  • Yes that happened to me. I think it was from all the fluid from ER.

  • I haven't had an IVF but if you were on an IV then it would most likely be from al the fluid.

  • After my retrieval I had the same thing happen to me. I think it's probably normal. I would call your RE just to be sure! Good luck!

  • I did the same -- but mine started just a day after the retrieval -- youre just losing that excess water -- Were you at risk for OHSS? This lasted until the night or 2 after my transfer.

  • i had a lot of pain and discomfort for a while after egg retrieval. you're better off peeing a lot than not peeing at all, because that would mean you are retaining too much water. make sure you keep hydrated, gatorade/propel etc.
