Is this normal after egg retrieval

so i am 4 days post egg retrieval and i am having frequent urination, getting up 2-3 times per night when i normally sleep through the night. is this normal???

    Yes that happened to me. I think it was from all the fluid from ER.

    I haven't had an IVF but if you were on an IV then it would most likely be from al the fluid.

    After my retrieval I had the same thing happen to me. I think it's probably normal. I would call your RE just to be sure! Good luck!



    TTC Journey:
    Me: Dx stage I endometriosis DH: minimal MFI - 3% morph
    IUI #1 - cycle converted to IVF #1 due overproduction of follies.
    BFP - m/c :(
    IVF #2 (finally) - Lupron + FSH + Ovidrel + Crinone = 10 eggs retrieved, Two grade A embryos transferred, 3 frosties!
    BFP - Beta #1 39.4 Beta #2 22 = c/p :(

    I did the same -- but mine started just a day after the retrieval -- youre just losing that excess water -- Were you at risk for OHSS? This lasted until the night or 2 after my transfer.

    Married November 2007
    DH became a double above knee amputee with traumatic brain injury (TBI) - July 2009
    TTC - August 2009 DX: Severe MFI & TF due to TBI
    DH SA 0 count, started clomid therapy - November 2010
    DH SA 0 count, increased clomid dosage - January 2011
    DH SA 75 million with 60% motility!! - May 2011
    IVF with ICSI ONLY OPTION - May 2011
    3dt of 2 Grade A 8&7 cell embryos May 19, 2011
    +HPT May 30 2011 -- Memorial Day!
    Beta #1 = 34 Beta #2 = 101.8 Beta #3 = 603!

    i had a lot of pain and discomfort for a while after egg retrieval. you're better off peeing a lot than not peeing at all, because that would mean you are retaining too much water. make sure you keep hydrated, gatorade/propel etc.
