bassinette?

I have a 15 mo and am due in 3 weeks.  I do not have another bedroom for baby so he/she will be sleeping in our room for the first 4-6 months or so.  I was going to use my sister's Graco pack n play with bassinette attachment but after putting it together I am not happy with it and thinking about buying a bassinette.  I saw one on Land of Nod that is quite expensive but gorgeous.  It rocks and has a removable sturdy basket that I can remove.  The reviews are all top notch and I know the quality is supreme.  Considering that I got all hand me downs for DS nursery I can justify the cost,

BUT I am wondering if anyone used a bassinettes that they loved and why.  Also if you had one that didn't you like what didn't you like about it?  Thank you for any input.

I liked the bassinet part of our PNP and LO#2 will be using it as well until I move him over the crib. I'm not sure of other bassinets though. GL

When my son was born we lived in a 1 bdrm apartment and didn't have room for a crib (he slept in our bedroom).  I needed something that would work for at least 6 months so we bought a cradle instead of a bassinette - they are slightly larger and last longer (6 mo's vs. 3 or so).  I got it at BRU for $150.  We're actually going to use it again for baby #2 b/c DS is still in his crib and I'm not sure we want to buy another one or if we do we won't be buying it right away.  Anyway - they still sell it there - and they have cute little bedding sets too.

DS slept in it until he started to sit up on his own at 6 months, then we bought him a crib (we moved at that time).
