Last day of school is OVER...which means I am a free lady until November! I get to spend the next several weeks relaxing in the pool and preparing for LO's arrival. I am sooooooooooooo excited!
On another note, my doctor called today to schedule me for an u/s to measure my fluid levels. I had two NSTs and BPPs done last week because of decreased movement, at which point they also discovered my fluids were low. So anyways, originally I thought she said only two more u/s for fluid checks...but today she said twice a week checks until my due date! That seems like an awful lot of u/s...isn't that dangerous for the baby? The next 6 weeks are literally booked with doctor's appointments (I start going every week next week) and u/s appointments. Plus I also have a dentist appointment next Tuesday. Holy cow I am going to be living at the doctor's office. Thank goodness school is out. I don't know how I would fit this many appointments in my schedule otherwise.
Re: Yeah summer break/mat leave! And an u/s question...
I don't think there has been anything conclusive proven about u/s for babies. The doctor wouldn't do anything that is bad for LO anyways and it sounds like they are trying to be safe. At any rate, I'm glad they are keeping such a close eye on you!
Congrats on being out of school!
Yay for being out of school. I have never heard anything bad about ultrasounds either. I am glad they are watching your little one closely.
I am so jealous of your leave, appointments or no!
Agreed regarding the largely unproven potential risk of frequent u/s on LOs compared to the greater known risks that accompany low fluid levels. Just think of it as frequent peeks at Luca before you get to finally see him in person!
BFP #1 5/2010 - Missed m/c at 8 weeks
BFP #2 2/2011
Baby G welcomed with love and relief 10/2011
Surprise BFP 1/8/2013...say what? Baby A arrived 9/2013
Motherhood is not for wimps
Enjoy your long break/maternity leave!!!! Sounds so wonderful. I don't have any advice on u/s. I would think that they are pretty safe. GL with your appointment.
Wow - definitely sounds like you will be busy! I have never heard of u/s's being dangerous to the baby.
It's a good thing you are done school - congrats! I will be finishing my year just as my appointments go from 4 weeks to 2 so I am so glad I won't have to deal with taking time off of work too.
