Two Under 2

Favorite part of 2u2?

I think I've finally wrapped my head around having Irish twins and am now starting to really look forward to having two kids so close together.  (I was an only child and the thing I wanted most in life was a sibling.)  I'm still scared out of my mind about how this is all going to work, but dwelling on the scary isn't going to help.  So ladies, what is your favorite part about having two under two?

    Love your screenname!

One of my favorite things is seeing my kids play together...and when DS was little, his very first belly laugh came from his big sister...sooooo sweet. It's got it's challenges, as I'm sure kids of every age difference come with. :)

  • I really love it. I love seeing my daughter's face light up when she sees her big brother. I love how caring my son is when it comes to his sister-if she's crying he comes and tries to help by either giving her a bottle, trying to make her laugh, etc. The bond they have already is so adorable.

  • The laughing!  DS was the only one who could get DD to laugh hard!  Now they are older and DD spends all day chasing him around.  They are starting to get into trouble together which is not amazing, but I am so glad they have each other!

  • Ditto all the pp. My boys are SO in love with each other.

  • My favorite part is that my two oldest are best friends! They are 4 1/2 and 3 now and are playing together all the time. I won't lie, the first year was tough but the reward comes later! I think it helps that they are literally the same size. (30 lbs and 39" tal) My third baby is 28 months from my second and while the 4 yo and 3 yo love their baby sister, they tend to stick together. Maybe that will change as baby gets older.
  • Hands down when they are both running around in their diapers laughing...so cute (mine are a little older now) but are 18 months apart...wouldn't have it any other way!

  • My girls' are 16 months apart, I love seeing them when they think no one is watching.  They are the nicest to each other then!  They read books to each other and play dolls.  I also really like when they talk to each other.  DD # 2 just turned 2 and she has really started talking up a storm, so they actually communicate with each other.  It's pretty cool, now I just need to get them to be better with sharing!!

Same thing here! I love how they interact, even though DD is still too little to "play." He loves her, she loves him and tolerates so much of his "big brother roughness." Her first belly laugh was also from him - he was reading himself a book and she thought it was hilarious, apparently.

I am so happy to see this post! And maramarrie your DS and DD are the same distance apart (and order) as mine will be and both so adorable! I can't wait for all of this :)
