Who has read 'Room'?

I just started it and can tell I'm going to love it and will probably fly through it in two days or so.  I did have a hard time at first adjusting to the perspective of a 5 year old boy.  Please no spoilers, just tell me if you enjoyed it.  :-)

It is very well-written and I was glad I read it. It was a hard topic and I like the way the author handled it with depth, without being too explicit.

I did enjoy it except for the "narration". It bugged me a little. You'll see as you get more into the book. I read it in 3 days, I think.

I expected the boy to "speak" better and not mix up his sentences. He was in a room with a mother who spoke fluent English AND a TV. It's really the thing that annoyed me about the book. I have a 5.5 year old and she doesn't mix up her sentences...........

I listened to it on Ipod with DD.  She loved it too.  It was interesting to here her perspective, since is also 5.  (I skipped the few scenes where they talk about a couple of things from the adult perspective, but the bulk of the book was from the prospective of a 5 year old, so she understood what he did about it.

I really enjoyed it, finished it in a few days.  As much as the platform is disturbing, it keeps from being too dark.  I thought I was going to be annoyed by the perspective at first but I got over it quickly.  I will say I thought the first half was better/more interesting than the second half.

I read it and LOVED it.  Haven't enjoyed a book like that in awhile.  I burned through it quickly! Enjoy~

Liked it. Would have LOVED it if the narration was a little better, as PPs mentioned.

After you read it, read "Goodnight Moon" and let me know if it totally creeps you out.
