Re: Matchy/matchy sibling clothes. Is this lame?

DD & DS have his & her Superman symbol shirts. Hers is pink and sparkly, his is the typical blue & red. Am I lame for wanting to put them both in the shirts for one of the barbecues we're attending this weekend?

  • I don't think so (but take that fwiw, I am probably lame).

  • Do it!

  • I always try to coordinate my kids' clothing when we go somewhere.  For me, it's like, you never know when there will be a photo op, and I get some sort of weird satisfaction over finding perfectly coordinating boy/girl outfits.  I spend a lot of time doing it for my clients, so maybe that is why?  LOL!

    To answer your question...no, I don't think it's lame.

  • Not lame!  The pictures would look great.
  • My kids love matching clothes and they never miss an opportunity to wear the same t-shirt.

Kids? Cute. Matching kids and adults? Eh, dorky. Stick out tongue

  • I think it's cute for an event.

Dressing your kids as a theme all of the time would be lame though, IMO.

promised myself I'd retire when I turned gold, and yet here I am
  • I think it's cute too.  For holidays and pictures, I like to have my kids in coordinating outfits, not necessarily the exact same thing.

Pretty soon they'll be picking out their own clothes and you won't be able to match them, so I say go for it!

  • I think that is fine to do every once in a while. I know a mom though who dresses both of her girls in matching outfits all.the.time. They are 5 1/2 and 4. I find that pretty lame especially when the outfits are rather ugly.

Not at all! I always thought I was anti-matchy clothes for siblings until DS#2 was born. Now I find myself coordinating them a lot. They just wore coordinating shirts to DS #1's end of year preschool program today. Ha!
  • Ha! Check out my siggy! Enough said!
