So we are set on a boys name, but have recently just come across two girls names that we can atleast agree on.  Just wanted your thoughts...

Raegan Pear R...

Cara Pear R...

Pear was my Moms nickname and she passed over a year ago.  Our way of honoring her.

Is Raegan pronounced RAY-gahn? Like the former President?

I'm not a huge fan, honestly. I'm not a fan of alliteration so Reagan Pear Rose sounds off for some reason.

Cara is nice but with Pear, it sounds like Care Bear when you say it out loud.

Cara is my sister's name.  She gets called Care Bear a lot or Cara Beth (Elizabeth is her mn).

Cara Pear is really cute and the connection to your mother is nice.  I like it a lot.

I like Cara. Strongly dislike Raegan or Reagan (either pronunciaton, as well). I think Clara would sound better with Pear. I'm not sold on the whole Pear thing, even if it has family significance. At least it's just a mn, though.

My moms name was Mary Alice, I thought I would go with something different and use her nickname as the mn.  Thanks for the all the feedback!

I agree with this 100%. I just can't get over the Exorcist or the President that everyone adored for no good reason.

I think Cora would be a lot better.

I like using Pear as her middle name, and I like the name Cara, but I'm also in the camp that thinks its a little too rhyme-y.  That said, it really depends on your last name.

I prefer Cara, and even though it does not flow with Pear, it is wonderful to honor your mom.  I want to have a girl someday so I can do the same, my mom passed about 2.5 years ago from cancer.

I had a friend in hs and her name was Regan.  It was pronounced Reeee -gan. Just to throw out another option.

I dont mind either name.  I love Pear as a mn to honour your mother.

I think Pear is an adorable middle name. It's a little out there, but your first name choices aren't, so why not? I like interesting middle names, especially if there's meaning behind them. I dislike Raegan any way it's spelled. It's sort of trendy in a bad way, to me. Cara is pretty, but I think the "Care Bear" thing is a little too cutesy for my taste.
