Well this is happy and sad at the same time

We tried to get our families out for Lilas first birthday next week but everyone has better things to do. I just got an invite from a friend to her daughters party next Saturday. DH and I have seen her husband a dozen or so times over the past year but the girls haven't "seen" eachother since they were in the hospital. They were born the same day and her room was a couple doors down from me. Anyway, she said they can share a cake and of God-willing they cooperate we can get some pictures of them rubbing it on each other. So I am super happy that they thought of us but a little sad our families won't be around.

Awh, that would upset me also. If I ask to visit my parents or ask them to do something my mom says "I'll have to check my calendar." And we both know it's wide open. Makes me feel like sh!t
