Bacon, cheeseburgers with bacon on it, BLTs, chicken wings with blue cheese, pepperoni pizza and pickles. Am not craving ANYTHING sweet. Made french toast for DD this morning. The maple syrup is WAY too sweet. Ugh.... I want meat...

Blech. That still sounds gross to me. I don't like sweets right now, either, but I also have a red meat aversion. I do love pepperoni pizza, though!! DH was so sick of eating it by the end of first tri Wink

Haha, I am not interested in sweets either! I bring a mix of stuff to work, but then I don't want to eat any of the sweet stuff. I run out of food quickly and have to run down to the vending machine to get chips or something. Pretty much the only things I eat at this point are salty carbs.

I'm all about the sweet stuff right now, fruit, fruit and more fruit. My in-laws just brought us 4 cans of maple syrup when they were visiting from Canada last week and I can't get enough. But, having read this now I'm craving salty and I really want a poutine! Of course the problem is, where in NYC can a girl get a good poutine!?!

This! It's weird. It's not that it grosses me out, I just never want it. I do like sweets though. My strongest craving is for potatoes, and then of course I have been wanting to eat lots of vegetables, but those aren't sweet, so I suppose I have a good balance.

there is no where to get poutine in NYC. I make my own. Mmmmmm.... poutine..... haven't had a craving for it until now. Whenever I go back to Canada (which is fairly often), I bring back packages of Swiss Chalet gravy. DH LOVES the stuff. I buy cheese curds at the local farmers market. Poutine is so incredibly yummy. there is a diner near me and the owner is from quebec. I'm going to ask him if he can make me poutine next week and tell him it should be on the menu.

BACON! I'm right there with that! I've had more BLT's this pregnancy than I think I've ever had in my life! And they have to be on Rye Bread! YUMMO! I had about a week of time maybe 3 or 4 weeks ago that I couldn't do meat at all and now I guess I'm making up for it. (But I can still do sweets! **** as I sip my milkshake from steak and shake!! :P*** ) :P

Mmm Swiss Chalet gravy...okay, now I'm really hungry! DH and I haven't been back to Montreal (his hometown) in over a year, so this is really a collective craving. We've visited Vancouver (my hometown) a couple of times, but it's not as big a thing out west. We make up for it with great sushi though! Hope your local diner puts poutine on the menu!! So jealous
