Induction in 1 wk from sunday

I am super excited but nervous and want my baby to be healthy so a week early won't really affect her right? It is for medical reasons, not some pregnant in heels bullcrap. Doc said it's fine bc I have been in labor for 2 weeks with no progress, just pain.

Have any of you done this?

(Thought I'd try to break away from lala troll)

  • I was induced at 37w5d because of high blood pressure. Babies are considered full-term at 37 weeks and usually are fully developed by then so yes she should be fine!

  • If the doctor says its fine and its medically necessary then you have nothing to worry about.

  • I was also induced at 39 wks due to medical issues and DD was fine. Good luck!

  • I was supposed to be induced at 37 weeks.  I had an amnio and ended up having my water break the next morning anyways.  The amniio results came back inconclusive and they told me that DD would probably need oxygen when she delivered.  When all was said and done, she did not; her lungs were absolutely fine.

My induction was scheduled because of out of control GD, but my smart little girl knew that I wanted as drug free a labor as I could get and she decided to come on her own.  Oh and the amnio may have helped.

  • Yay! Congrats. Like someone already mentioned, babies are considered full term at 37 weeks. Your baby is ready to come and will be healthy! Good luck! :):)
